Austin Body Contouring - Laser Fat Removal http://austinbodycontouring.com Thu, 09 Oct 2014 18:34:11 +0000 en-US hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=4.1 Drinking Enough Water http://austinbodycontouring.com/drinking-enough-water/ http://austinbodycontouring.com/drinking-enough-water/#comments Tue, 21 Jan 2014 20:35:37 +0000 http://austinbodycontouring.com/?p=1352 Drinking 100 ounces of water per day is important for zerona laser success

Did you know that your body is primarily water?  That’s right.  Your body has more water in it than any other substance.  That’s why water is critically important to your good health.  Water is important even when you aren’t undergoing cold laser treatments.  However, getting enough water while undergoing treatment is critical to the success of your program.

How Much Water Should I Drink?

When not undergoing Lapex or Zerona laser treatments, the standard rule of  thumb is that you should drink half of your body weight in ounces per day.  In other words, if you weigh 130 lbs you should be drinking 65 ounces (just over half a gallon) of water per day.  If you weight 160 lbs you should be drinking 80 ounces a day.   If you are out in hot weather or exercising you need drink even more.   Your urine should be nearly clear or very light yellow.  Any darker and you need to be drinking more water. Dehydration (a lack of enough water in the body) can cause headaches, muscle cramps, a lack of mental focus and more.

Why Water is Important When Undergoing Cold Laser Treatments

Both Zerona laser and Lapex lasers cause the cells in your body to release fat into your blood stream.  The goal is to have this newly released fat exit your body through your urine and bowel movements.  Ingesting enough water is critical to accomplishing this goal.

Recommended Water Intake During Treatment

We recommend you drink at least 100 ounces of water per day.  If you are still consuming caffeinated drinks such as coffee or tea, you will need to add 2 ounces of water for every ounce of coffee or tea as caffeine is dehydrating. You need to space your water intake over the course of the day.

It is best to limit your intake to no more than 25 ounces in any single hour.  It’s also a great idea to start your day out with a tall glass of water upon waking.

Again, if you are out in hot weather or exercising vigorously you should drink more water to remain adequately hydrated.

Do Other Beverages Count for My Daily Total?

No they don’t.  Nothing seems to work as well as good ol’ water.

How on Earth am I Going to Drink that Much Water?

Many people find that the easiest way to incorporate enough water is to start  the day with a glass, then pour another glass every time you go to the bathroom.   If you aren’t used to drinking enough water you will visit the bathroom often but frequency should drop as your body gets used to the increase in water consumption.

What Kind of Water Should I Drink?

Your best bet is non-carbonated, spring or mineral water.  Both contain minerals your body needs for optimal health.  Be careful of carbonated waters as many contain a lot of salt.  Check the label for salt content. Tap water is fine in most locations but may taste better if filtered.  Flavored  waters are okay if free of sugar and artificial sweeteners.  Adding lemon, lime or cucumber slices to ice water can add enough flavor to make water more inviting.

We’ve made it easier for you on our Pinterest page where we’ve gathered some recipes for fruit flavored waters.  Not only are fruit waters good for your body but your family will love the fruit waters too!

A Low Fat Diet For Maximum Laser Lipo Results http://austinbodycontouring.com/a-low-fat-diet-for-maximum-laser-lipo-results/ http://austinbodycontouring.com/a-low-fat-diet-for-maximum-laser-lipo-results/#comments Wed, 15 Jan 2014 19:50:10 +0000 http://austinbodycontouring.com/?p=1320 If you’ve committed to undergoing laser lipo treatments then you’ve likely read the recommended protocol that we publish for Zerona Laser and Lapex Laser patients.  While the protocol is optional, testing has demonstrated that those following the protocol have the best results.

Why a Low Fat Diet?Eat low fat foods for best zerona results

One key recommendation is that you follow a low-fat diet.  In recent years there has been a fair amount of debate over which is better for weight loss – low fat, low carb or low glycemic. A high fat/low carb diet is designed to help your cells release fat into your bloodstream.  However when you are undergoing lipolaser treatments, the laser is doing just that so adding excess dietary fat is going to slow your progress.  Since there’s a limit to how much fat your body can use as energy or process through your liver to be excreted, you don’t want to add too much dietary fat to your body while undergoing treatment.

Just keep in mind that the goal you are aiming for with Zerona treatments is to maximize fat loss. While you may also lose weight from your treatments, laser lipo’s goal is to remove only body fat.  When you diet for weight loss, you will almost certainly lose water, muscle and fat (in that order).  Since your aiming to lose primarily fat and not water or muscle, a low fat diet is the better choice for this purpose.  You can choose to eat a low fat diet that is also low glycemic and low carb.

Your Cells Will Release Body Fat into Your Blood Stream

Zerona and Lapex Laser treatments will release fat from your cells into your blood stream.   A low fat diet will best allow your body to convert the newly release fat into energy and purge your system of the excess.

How Do I Plan My Diet?

Fortunately the Internet is full of great tools and recipes that will allow you to create a diet that keeps your body and taste buds happy.   The Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes (TLC) diet was created to help people with high levels of LDL cholesterol (the bad cholesterol) and these guidelines can work well here.  Here’s a link to a sample menu for the TLC diet.

One of the best dietary tool sets on the web is also free – Sparkpeople.com.  This site offers recipes, support, meal planning tools, nutrition and exercise tracking tools and nutritional information for almost anything you can eat plus a free mobile ap.   You can keep it simple with their Mix & Match Diet Tool (log in required) that will quickly let you make food choices while viewing the nutritional impact each choice makes.

In summary, a low fat diet is your best choice to improve your laser lipo results and free web tools can make it easy to design a meal plan you’ll enjoy.

How Cold Lasers Work http://austinbodycontouring.com/how-cold-lasers-work/ http://austinbodycontouring.com/how-cold-lasers-work/#comments Mon, 04 Nov 2013 17:36:05 +0000 http://austinbodycontouring.com/?p=1252 Biochemical Explanation of How Zerona Works.

How does low-level-laser-treatment affect fat cells?

I will begin to walk you through a series of primary and secondary reactions that originate in the mitochondria of a single cell and can migrate throughout the whole body!

The mitochondrion is an energy station for all eukaryotic cells, and that energy produced in the mitochondrion is what provides life to the entire organism. The mitochondrion is where adenosine tri-phosphate (ATP) is produced, an essential molecule driving many reactions.

The mitochondrion is the specific target for Erchonia’s low-level-laser devices. Specifically, cytochrome c oxidase, a terminal enzyme, is targeted by the low-level-laser. Cytochrome c oxidase is a photoacceptor, absorbing light at a peak spectrum of 630-670nm (red spectrum). This particular molecule is responsible for ensuring that the Respiratory Chain goes to completion. The Respiratory Chain harvests electrons from O2 and NADH passing them along through a series of Redox reactions, ultimately producing ATP and H2O. Cytochrome c oxidase promotes the electron flow along the Respiratory Chain between Complexes III and IV.

Low-level-laser is proposed, based on a study performed in 2005, to stimulate photoexcitation of certain reaction centers in the cytochrome c oxidase molecule (like CuA and CuB) influencing the redox state of these molecules, and consequently, the rate of the electron flow in the molecule; meaning, photoexcitation of cytochrome c oxidase may lead to redox changes and modulations of biochemical reactions through a cascade of reactions called photosignal transduction (stimulation of other reactions).

Zerona versus Liposuction http://austinbodycontouring.com/zerona-vs-liposuction/ http://austinbodycontouring.com/zerona-vs-liposuction/#comments Tue, 01 Oct 2013 17:00:54 +0000 http://austinbodycontouring.com/?p=1244 Zerona -vs- Liposuction

Zerona vs Liposuction - Compare and ChooseThe following is from a Dr. in Toronto Canada: I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in the United States and Canada. For a number of years, I have run teaching workshops for different liposuction techniques including ultrasonic liposuction, laser liposuction and radio frequency liposuction. Not all body contouring patients want or desire surgery and I have been a big advocate of offering non-invasive options for those seeking moderate but noticeable body contouring improvements without surgery. These non surgical techniques include technologies such as, VelaShape, Thermage Body, Ultrashape, TriActive, Liposonix and many others. I own and operate all of these devices within my Medical Spa’s and perform the various liposuction techniques within my certified surgery center.

All of this is a back ground leading up to Zerona Laser slimming. I too was suspicious that a photochemical, non-thermal, non-invasive, no pain, no downtime device would produce any results; however having reviewed the literature and following my personal Zerona patient experiences, I do agree with Dr. Kenkel, the ASPS incoming president and respected researcher, that there is scientific evidence for a significant, consistent, predictable, noninvasive, non thermal photochemical effect of Zerona on the fat cell.

After purchasing the Zerona device, I conducted a study on my own patients and I was quite impressed with what the device can do. The Zerona is a high fluence, low level laser therapy involving an array of diode laser devices positioned above the body of the patient, there is no pain, no downtime and no recovery. The patient lies for 20 minutes on their front side and 20 minutes on their back side. The 635 array of diode lasers emit up to 15 miliwatts at each source and focus the painless energy on the fat between the neck and the mid thighs. The characteristics of this diode laser light are such that over a series of treatments, performed every 48hrs, an opening is created in the cell membrane of the fat cells and the in triglyceride contents of the fat cells are released into the space between the cells where they triglyceride are eliminated safely and effectively by the bodies normal carry protein systems.

Lose fat with zerona laser - zerona laser compared to liposuctionThe Zerona Laser Slimming program generally involves a 1 month commitment on the part of the patient, 1 week after the consultation is spent preparing incremental space and body with some diet mortifications, walking, fluid intake and some homeopathic supplements. Then there are the 6 Zerona treatments performed every 2nd day over two weeks, each treatment lasting 40 minutes followed by a one week post treatment period. After one month there is a circumferential measurement test and pinch test, all comparing to the pre treatment status. In my study, like other published series, there was a greater than 90% successful response rate of patients with the Zerona treatment. Response is defined as between a 3-9 inches measurable reduction and multiple body treatment areas.

Shown 18" loss with Zerona LaserProperly selected patients of Zerona are very happy. It does not replace nor complete with Liposuction of focal non-invasive “spot” treatment devices, which focally reduction contour abnormalities. Zerona is a generalized truncal body slimming technology with no apparent effect on cellulite. The Zerona patients are happy if well selected. The procedure is affordable and it offers most clients that are unwilling or afraid of undergoing the gold standard liposuction procedures a slimming body contouring option. The Zerona distribution and sales company SBMI, believes enough in their product that they will guarantee the 3-9 inches result in a patient or they will provide the MD and their patient with free round of treatments.

I wish that all laser companies would stand behind their technologies with such commitment and conviction. Because Zerona is a laser slimming produces a generalized body fat reduction, it can also be combined with other noninvasive focal reduction techniques such as VelasShape, Thermage Body, Accent, Ultrashape etc to provide slimming and focal contouring without liposuction, a program I call Zerona Sculpt.

Zerona laser liposuction is the newest option in body sculpturing. It offers the benefits of less invasive therapy than regular liposuction to remove stubborn fat deposits.

Advantage of Zerona Liposuction Treatments

zerona laser is top alternative to liposuctionZerona is a recently developed method designed by Erchonia Medical to get the effects of liposuction in a non-surgical manner. Instead of getting cosmetic surgery liposuction, a specially designed laser is used to destroy and mobilize fat cells through the skin. There is no need for an incision and no need for anesthesia. The procedure does not produce the same pain, bruising and swelling that many patients getting traditional liposuction experience. In addition, there is no scar at all because no incision was made. There is no “down” time after Zerona laser treatments because it is not actually a surgical procedure so you don’t have to take time off from work or comply with the traditional recovery period instructions, such as bed rest or limited activity after the laser liposuction treatment.

The Zerona treatment uses cold laser therapy rather than a high heat laser to dissolve fat, essentially melting it away to improve the appearance of the fatty areas and promote weight loss. Patients are completely comfortable during the no anesthesia procedure and are even allowed to read, relax, listen to music or sleep while being treated on a comfortable massage table in the cosmetic surgery or clinic rather than in an operating room.

In fact, Erchonia Medical presented study results to the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery which showed that patients lost an average of up to 6 inches from thighs, abdomen and buttocks after treatment with Zerona laser liposculpting. Some patients may lose much more weight and inches after only 2 weeks of treatment.Erchonia Medical has a long-standing reputation of developing “state of the art” lasers for cosmetic surgery uses including acne treatment, chronic pain treatment, carpal tunnel syndrome and breast augmentation.Erchonia had also previously developed a laser liposuction treatment which used a laser to assist the mobilization of fat during traditional liposuction. Offering great results with little medical risk and no recovery time, this new Zerona laser liposuction treatment appears to be much better than traditional liposuctionThough many people are simply looking to lose stubborn fat deposits and improve their appearance, Zerona laser treatment may have an added benefit. Studies have shown that reducing fat deposits will help to lower low-density lipid in the blood which may have the benefit of reducing cholesterol levels and decreasing the chance for the development of cardiac problems. This happens because people with large amounts of fat may become resistant to the satiety hormone “Leptin”. Leptin is supposed to reduce hunger but over time people can become desensitized to it. Reducing the amount of fat in the body through use of the Zerona laser will reduce the amount of Leptin in the body – allowing the brain to resensitize itself to the Leptin so it will start to work again. Over time reducing the amount of fat in the body may have the benefit of reducing hunger levels so the weight loss is not only immediate but may be continued over time.Zerona laser liposculpting generally requires 6 visits over a 2 week period. Patients are encouraged to resume normal activities immediately. Patients are often advised to drink plenty of fluid, particularly water to hydrate the body before the procedure which will allow the body to more easily mobilize the fat out of the body.During the 2 week treatment period, daily water consumption should remain at 8 to 10 glasses per day and to massage the areas being treated to increase fat movement out of the thighs, abdomen and buttocks. Supplementing with B Vitamins may increase the effectiveness of the Zerona liposuction laser therapy.

Liposuction Alternatives

Liposuction AlternativesWhile liposuction is a highly invasive procedure, there are now non surgical liposuction alternatives which have been introduced to the market. These noninvasive methods allow you to experience almost same dramatic benefits associated with liposuction without going under the knife. There are neither tiny incisions nor cannula (the thin hollow tube which was originally used to break up fat and siphon it out of the body). FDA-approved Liposuction Alternatives have the benefit of being potentially safer efficient and less traumatic for the body and making your recovery time much shorter.

Non Surgical Liposuction Oxymoron

And here is the point where we would like to shed light on a prominent misconception: There is no such thing as Non Surgical LipoSuction! Even Wikipedia has a page dedicated to Non Surgical Liposuction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-surgical_liposuction) but this is a huge oxymoron! As we described in previous articles (What is liposuction) one of the common steps of all liposuction techniques is the suction of fat via cannula! In order for a cannula to reach the fat layer its necessary to make incisions (tiny or bigger)! But when speaking about incisions we speak about Surgery! This is why the term “Non surgical liposuction” is a glorious oxymoron and should be replaced with the term “Non Surgical Liposuction Alternatives” or simply Liposuction Alternatives!

How do they work?

There are proprietary brand names for liposuction alternatives. These techniques externally apply high-intensity ultrasound, lasers, radio frequency waves to liquefy the fat inside your body without ever penetrating the skin. Even massage is utilized (Endermologie) in order to remove fat the non surgical way! The fat is then transported out of your body via your body’s own mechanisms of expelling waste and metabolizing fatty compounds (mostly by means of the lymphatic system). Sometimes a bit of cardio after the treatment can improve the elimination of fat.

Liposuction Alternatives Benefits

  • Liposuction alternatives appeal to liposuction candidates for a number of reasons. The first is the convenience and simplicity of the techniques. Most people don’t like the idea of being cut open if they can avoid it—so naturally a technique that doesn’t involve cutting is preferable if you can avoid going under the knife.
  • Non surgical techniques have the potential to be more gentle to your body; you don’t have to deal with bleeding, bruising, and swelling, and much of the discomfort is reduced.
  • There is also no need for general anesthesia, which carries many risks and should be avoided when possible.
  • The Recovery period of a non surgical technique is practically zero
  • Non surgical options are generally cost-effective comparing to liposuction

Why Doctors Recommend Zerona as an Alternative to Liposuction http://austinbodycontouring.com/why-doctors-recommend-zerona-as-an-alternative-to-liposuction/ http://austinbodycontouring.com/why-doctors-recommend-zerona-as-an-alternative-to-liposuction/#comments Thu, 26 Sep 2013 16:17:43 +0000 http://austinbodycontouring.com/?p=1234 Woman undergoing Zerona Laser treatmentStep into science fiction: A futuristic-looking machine is trained on you. It begins to emit a low-level hum, but you don’t feel a thing. You read or play games on your BlackBerry. Then you go home.

A few weeks later, the little tummy bulge that has annoyed you for years is gone. Same with the love handles. Or your thighs are a couple of inches smaller. The procedure didn’t hurt. It involved no surgery, no anesthesia, no downtime. You just wrote a check—but one that wasn’t as big as if you’d had liposuction on those areas of fat that wouldn’t budge despite the morning sit-ups. Good news: This isn’t fiction. In 2010, the Food and Drug Administration approved this device that perform just that way. Zerona shrinks fat cells using cold laser light. This approval is the first in a new category of medical devices that eliminate fat without surgery. They work, but there are caveats.

Lasers are typically thought of as hot, but “cold” lasers that emit variable-frequency pulsed waves are used in surgery for pain relief and now to get rid of fat. “It does seem too good to be true, but there’s a lot of science behind this,” says Steven Hopping, a cosmetic surgeon and otolaryngologist in DC. A former president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a professor of surgery at George Washington University, Hopping has had a Zerona machine for about a year and a half. With Zerona, a patient lies down and a four-armed device is positioned over the body. To treat the tummy and thighs, the laser eye in the middle of the contraption is positioned over the abdomen, while the four arms are over the thighs. The laser is on for 40 minutes a session. Often, six sessions are spaced over a two-week period. Patients typically feel nothing, though some experience a tingle. Fats cells are emulsified, causing them to collapse and be emptied via the body’s lymphatic system. The shrunken fat cells remain but are smaller. In the study that prompted FDA approval, more than 80 percent of those in a Zerona trial lost an average of 3.64 inches combined over their waist, hip, and thigh areas. A control group that didn’t get Zerona averaged half an inch. The fat loss was evident in photos of participants. Although it wasn’t required in the trial, patients getting Zerona now are asked during treatment to avoid caffeine and alcohol, drink lots of water, and take a proprietary—some might say overpriced—vitamin supplement called Curva. Critics suggest that the Zerona effect is attributable to these things, but everyone in the FDA study did just Zerona without the diet and exercise modifications and still saw measurable effects. Zerona seems to have no adverse side effects. The laser operates at too low a level to affect deeper body tissues or skin. Blood studies conducted on those undergoing treatment were normal, and some people who had high or borderline-high cholesterol saw improvement. In studies, more than 80 percent of patients responded to treatment. Hopping says that perhaps 75 percent of those he treats are pleased; the rest experience little to no effect. Wanda Dyson, a DC internist who has a Zerona, reports about the same numbers, adding that with more sessions the likelihood of a response appears to increase. Both doctors say they’ve had a few patients lose as much as 12 inches. “Men are especially good candidates because they tend to carry fat around the waist,” says Hopping. “That fat often responds well.” Deborah Johnson of Arlington, a patient of Dyson’s, initially signed up for six Zerona treatments on her abdomen, thighs, and back. They worked so well that she got three more. “I started on a Monday, and by that weekend I was in my closet trying on clothes I hadn’t been able to wear in a long time,” Johnson says. She did Zerona last February and, when interviewed in December, said she had not only maintained the lost inches but lost more: “It inspired me to keep exercising and eating well.” “I love Zerona as a way to jump-start a healthy lifestyle change,” says Dyson. “People come in on a diet plateau, start seeing inches go away, then stick with their diet and exercise program.” Nobody can predict whether you’ll respond a little, a lot, or at all. A quick scan of Internet sites such as RealSelf.com shows that many consumers think Zerona is overhyped.

Zerona is handy for losing a modest amount of fat, but to guarantee a sculpted look, liposuction “is still the gold standard,” says Michael Will, a board-certified cosmetic, oral, and maxillofacial surgeon in Urbana, Maryland. Whether done in a hospital, a clinic, or a doctor’s office, liposuction is real surgery. Sometimes general anesthesia is used, but the trend is toward local sedation with the patient awake and given calming drugs. To reduce postsurgical swelling, patients wear a compression garment for about two weeks. Final contours can take up to six months to appear. A patient should expect scarring where the cannula enters, although the marks fade. How sore someone is afterward varies according to pain tolerance as well as how much fat was removed and from how many sites. Other risks involved with lipo include possible infection and an uneven or rippled result. Five to 10 percent of patients need a second, shorter session to make adjustments. While anesthesia today is very safe, there’s always a degree of risk, especially with general. Any licensed doctor can perform liposuction. You’re safest in the hands of one who is board-certified in a surgical speciality and has performed lipo many times. Always ask if you’ll be continually attended while under anesthesia and whether emergency resuscitation equipment is available as well as staff trained to use it. If the answer to either question is no, go elsewhere.

Liposuction Alternatives Like Zerona http://austinbodycontouring.com/liposuction-alternatives-like-zerona/ http://austinbodycontouring.com/liposuction-alternatives-like-zerona/#comments Fri, 12 Jul 2013 15:54:04 +0000 http://austinbodycontouring.com/?p=1225 Liposuction is a technique utilized to remove certain problem areas where fat just won’t go away, even with a diet and exercise regimen. While it can be very effective, liposuction also comes with some risks and is an intensive surgery. Fortunately, there are some alternatives which people can turn to if they do not want to undergo a liposuction surgery either due to the possible complications or because they want something less invasive.

Possible Dangers of Liposuction

Because liposuction involves an intense surgical procedure, there are some risks involved. Due to these reasons, many people are unwilling to utilize liposuction to get rid of stubborn fat deposits. Listed below are some of the possible side effects and complications of liposuction:

  • Swelling, bruising and soreness in the treated area
  • Irritation and scarring at the incision site
  • Uneven skin on the treated area, including baggy or rippling skin
  • Damage to the tissues under the skin
  • Burning of the skin
  • Permanent skin color changes in the treated areas
  • Excessive blood or fluid loss, which could lead to shock
  • Pulmonary edema (buildup of fluid in the lungs)
  • Infection
  • Fat clots
  • Blood clots
  • Toxic reactions to injected fluids
  • Punctures to internal organs or cavities

The more serious potential risks of liposuction, such as blood clots, infection or pulmonary edemas, are very rare. However, these serious side effects could be fatal – there have been several deaths linked to liposuction. Keep in mind that the risk for these more serious side effects is much greater for individuals who are having very large amounts of fat removed, who are obese or who have certain health problems.

Liposuction Alternatives: Pros and Cons

Most liposuction alternatives are created to be safer than liposuction since potential risks of surgery and anesthesia scare people away from getting the procedure done. However, the most important thing to keep in mind when choosing a liposuction alternative is whether it has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Here is one liposuction alternative which has received this important “approved” status from the FDA:

  • Zerona: This method involves a medical laser. When the laser is used on problem areas like the waist, hips or thighs, it utilizes cold energy to force fat out of the cells. Then, the body eliminates the fat on its own. Because Zerona is non-invasive, it poses fewer risks that liposuction surgery. Plus, patients report little to no pain and can remain active during their treatments since no recovery time is required. It does come with some potential side effects, however, including possible uneven skin surfaces in the treated areas. However, this is not a common side effect and there appear to be no serious health risks associated with the procedure as long as protective eyewear is worn to avoid any possible eye damage from the lasers used during the procedure.

How Zerona Laser Works http://austinbodycontouring.com/how-zerona-laser-works/ http://austinbodycontouring.com/how-zerona-laser-works/#comments Fri, 14 Jun 2013 16:11:51 +0000 http://austinbodycontouring.com/?p=1228 The Science of ZERONA®

ZERONA is a new body contouring treatment designed to remove fat and reduce inches with ZERO pain, ZERO surgery and ZERO recovery time. ZERONA allows the patient to continue daily activity without interruption.

How ZERONA Works

ZERONA works by using Erchonia’s patented and clinically-proven body slimming technology. This treatment emulsifies the adipose tissue which is then released into the interstitial space. The excess fat is passed through the body during its normal course of detoxification. The ZERONA procedure was proven through a doubleblind, randomized, multi-site, and placebo-controlled study in which patients, on average, lost 3.52 inches from their waist, hips, and thighs. This result is dramatic compared to the placebo group, which only lost an average of half an inch.

zerona laser drains fat from cells

The remarkable images above demonstrate the low-level laser’s ability to emulsify adipose tissue. The pictures highlight the collapse of the rigid adipose cells, and secretion of triglycerides and fatty acid from the cells.

How Triglycerides and Fatty Acids Escape

These images show the formation of a transitory pore forming in the bi-lipid membrane of an adipose cell. This pore is the direct result of the low-level laser stimulation, and the reason why the triglycerides and fatty acids are able to move into the interstitial space. This pore is not damaging to the cell, and simply serves to allow the fatty content to evacuate the cell.
